Why I started this blog

In a world where commercials, TV programs, adds, and books tell us what we need to do and who we need to be, young girls need the encouragement to stand up.

So, I started this blog to encourage other girls to push against all the cultural norms that the world pushes at us.

As the name of this blog indicates, I want to help other girls be Poised For Potential, with the grace and beauty God gave to each and every one of them.

I want to help provide the confidence they need to stand strong and be Poised and anchored in God and the Bible.

I want to help other girls to know their worth and know that they can do anything through Christ who strengthens them.

I want to let every girl know that they don't need makeup, or to be popular, or to have boyfriends to have an identity, which is what the world wants us to believe.

Instead, we should find our identity in God, the one who created each of us with a special purpose.

The one who has a plan for our good, and not our harm.

The one who's thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and who's ways are higher than our ways.

That is what I hope to accomplish with this blog, and I hope that the words I write are not my words, but the words of God through me to help encourage and prepare you, to tell you that you are special and have a purpose. To show you that you have value, and that you are treasured.
